Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ranqed (getranqed.com), including browsing, creating an account, listing a server, voting and purchasing advertising (together, the "Service"). "Ranqed", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.

By using the Service, creating an account, submitting a server or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Ranqed is an independent directory of RuneScape private servers ("RSPS"). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Jagex Ltd. RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are trademarks of Jagex Ltd. Listed servers are operated by third parties, not by Ranqed. We do not host, run or control any listed server and are not responsible for their content, availability, conduct, in-game purchases or legality.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase.
• You are responsible for your account, your password and all activity under your account.
• Information you give us must be accurate. One person may not use accounts to evade a suspension.
• We may refuse, suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

When you submit a server, upload a profile picture or banner, or provide any other content ("Your Content"), you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you grant Ranqed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and promote it on the Service and in our marketing.

Your Content must not:

• be sexual, hateful, violent, harassing, discriminatory or illegal;
• be misleading (e.g. fake player counts, false claims, impersonating another server or Ranqed);
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
• contain malware, phishing, scams, or links to them;
• promote real-money trading, account selling or gambling where prohibited by law.

All listings, profile pictures and banners may be reviewed. We may approve, reject, edit the presentation of, hide or remove any listing or content at our sole discretion, at any time, with or without notice.

Rankings are based on genuine votes from real players. To protect fairness, the following are strictly prohibited:

• bots, scripts, automation, VPN/proxy farming or any artificial voting;
• buying, selling or trading votes, or paying players per vote outside normal in-game rewards;
• creating or using multiple identities to vote;
• tampering with our heartbeat or API (e.g. reporting false player counts).

We use automated and manual checks. If we detect manipulation we may, without notice or refund, remove votes, reset or lower rankings, suspend a listing, end any advertising for that server, and ban the related accounts. Our assessment of suspicious activity is final.

Paid placements (Featured, Vote Spotlight, Sidebar Spotlight, Server Spotlight and Partner Spotlight) are digital advertising services purchased for a fixed duration shown at checkout.

• Delivery. A placement is delivered and the Service is rendered when your payment is confirmed and the placement becomes active. Its duration starts at that moment.
• Artwork review. Banners must match the required size and these Terms, and are shown after approval. If artwork is rejected, you may upload a replacement; the placement's duration continues while artwork is pending or being replaced.
• Rotation & exposure. Placements share their location and rotate with other advertisers (currently every 5 minutes). We do not guarantee any number of impressions, clicks, votes, players, rankings or other results.
• Availability. Slots are limited. A slot is held for 30 minutes while you complete checkout, then released.
• Prices. Prices are in US dollars and may change, but never for a placement you have already paid for.
• Removal. We may remove or end any placement that breaks these Terms, including for vote manipulation or harmful content, without refund.
• Free placements we grant at our discretion have no cash value and may be ended at any time.

Card payments are processed by Stripe and crypto payments by NOWPayments. We never see or store your full card details or wallet keys. Crypto payments are irreversible once sent; see the Refund Policy for underpayments and wrong-network transfers.

All purchases are final and non-refundable, including for unused time, as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By completing a purchase you acknowledge that the advertising service is delivered immediately upon activation.

If you have a problem with a purchase, you agree to contact us first at realkirkby@gmail.com and give us at least 14 days to resolve it before contacting your bank or card issuer.

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute for a purchase that was delivered as described is a breach of these Terms. If you do so, we may immediately suspend your account, end all of your placements and listings, and ban you from future purchases. We will contest the dispute and provide your card issuer with evidence including your acceptance of these Terms, your account and server records, order and payment details, activation dates, and records of the placement being displayed (such as activation dates and click records). Where permitted by law, you are responsible for any fees we incur as a result of an unjustified chargeback.

• Do not attempt to hack, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service.
• Do not access other users' accounts or data, or share your API key publicly.
• Do not use the Service to spam, harass, defraud or mislead players.

The Ranqed name, logo, design and software are owned by us. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission, except to link to your listing or vote page.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that rankings, vote counts or player counts are accurate at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ranqed will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, players, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose, or US $50, whichever is greater.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ranqed from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your server, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access, remove listings or end placements at any time if you breach these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (including payments, refunds, chargebacks, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law) survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them. Purchases are governed by the Terms in effect when they were made.
