This policy explains what information Ranqed collects when you browse, vote, list a server or buy advertising, and how we use it. We collect only what we need to run a fair toplist, and we never sell your data.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; we can never see them.
Server listings. Details you submit (server name, description, website, Discord link, revision, type), plus uploaded profile pictures and banners, and live data your server reports (player counts and heartbeat times).
Voting. When you vote we record the in-game username you enter, the server and the time. To stop fraud we also store a random voter ID in a cookie and a one-way scrambled code derived from your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address with your vote.
Purchases. Card payments are handled by Stripe and crypto payments by NOWPayments. We receive order details (amount, date, payment status, coin used and a payment reference) but never your full card number or wallet keys.
Advertising activity. Clicks on paid placements, counted per advertisement and not linked to your identity.
Visits we send to servers. When you click through to a server's website from RanQed, we count the visit for that server's statistics using an anonymous code that changes daily. We do not store your IP address for this.
Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views anonymously, without cookies, to understand how RanQed is used.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited to deliver and secure the site.
2. How we use it
- to run the Service: accounts, listings, rankings, voting and vote rewards;
- to detect and prevent vote manipulation, fraud, abuse and chargeback fraud;
- to process and record purchases and show advertisers their placement results;
- to review content and enforce our Terms;
- to contact you about your account, listings or purchases;
- to keep the Service secure and improve it.
3. What is public
Server listings, profile pictures, approved banners, vote totals, player counts and rankings are public. Your email address, password and payment details are never shown publicly. Your Ranqed username is not shown next to the votes you cast.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and listing data while your account is active. Vote records are kept to maintain rankings and prevent fraud. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes (usually up to 7 years). When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal information unless we must keep it for these reasons.
7. Your choices & rights
You can edit your listings from your dashboard. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing realkirkby@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, which we will honour as required by law.
We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, hashed API keys and limited access to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a unique password and keep your API key private.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
Ranqed is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. By using the Service you understand your information may be transferred there.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. For significant changes we will give notice on the site.
